The message is: We care about you. We want you to do well here. And most importantly, we want you to be happy. Most companies start there, and then…Company numbers and records, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), percentages, goals, processes, etc. The list of managerial jargon goes on and on. Co-workers get bored, and the message gets lost. Here at FreightPros, everything is based off our core values. Are there numbers/goals we strive to hit? Yes. Are there analytics to look at? Of course. But let me get to the point here. #Produce We start from a place of caring and compassion before anything else. You cannot possibly go wrong if everything you do for your co-workers comes from a place of genuine caring; for their well being, and by having compassion for their reality. #Respect #Balance All of our “One-on-One” meetings begin with our, “Top 5 and Bottom 5.” In essence: What’s going well? What’s not going well? What are you happy about? What do you dread? These questions stretch from our work life to our home life. They help develop a sense of trust between managers and teams, embracing communication, and knowing that we can talk about anything. #Develop It’s OK when everything is not perfect. We don’t expect it to be. It’s a stressful industry. We actually expect you to have a few things you’d like to get off your chest. IT’S OK! It doesn’t make you a bad co-worker, it makes you a human. We like humans. Keep being one, and we’ll keep supporting it. #Support cc image courtesy Vancouver Film School via Flickr
Neil started as a Solutions Specialist with us here at FreightPros and now is the Inbound Sales Manager. He dislikes the Spurs, the Cowboys, Arizona State (his Alma Mater) and the fair weather fans of Phoenix. Don't worry, nobody really gets it.
