Are you looking for a good logistics blog? Some place that discusses the finer points of the logistics and shipping industry? A blog that actually includes relevant information about logistics and shipping, both LTL and truckload? Well, dear reader, I have some good news for you.
This is a logistics blog!
That’s right! I can’t believe it either! I know there aren’t too many of us out there, but fret not because you’ve found the best one. But what should a logistics blog actually do? I’ll answer that.
1. Should Be Informative
The most important aspect of any blog should be valid and important information. A logistics blog should include tips and info on logistics! Very complicated, right? No! It’s pretty simple, and it’s a wonder more people haven’t filled the logistics blog void on the internet universe. So what kind of stuff am I talking about? How about simple every day questions, such as: What’s the difference between post office shipping and LTL shipping? We’ve got you covered. Okay, are you curious what is the standard pallet size? We’ve got that covered as well. What if you have a question about cargo and freight insurance? No problems. Just check the blog!
2. Should Be Fun To Read
It’s not a stretch to say that logistics and shipping is not a “sexy” industry. In fact, it can be complicated and frustrating more often than it is fun or satisfying. But the logistics industry is a giant behemoth trafficking thousands of shipments daily across the globe; a billion dollar industry. So even though the industry itself might not be full of laughs and creativity, our blog is. That’s because we write stuff that gets away from the dry, boring tone you’ll find in most shipping blogs. Like in our blog about the best way to ship coffee, we’ve found that it’s easier to retain information (and finish reading the paragraph) if you’re interested in not only the subject, but the way it’s presented. Same goes for moments when we’re discussing a freight bill of lading. A shipping blog shouldn’t feel like a technical manual void of emotion, it should make reading about freight fun and easy. FreightPros makes the Inc. 5000 list!!!
3. Should Be About More Than Logistics
I know this sounds weird, and it may not be for everyone, but ultimately a good logistics blog should be about more than just logistics. For FreightPros, we take our blog and use it not only for informative and well-written posts concerning freight shipping both LTL and truckload, but also as a platform to discuss our company culture and our place in the local Austin community. You can check out our Meet A Pro series and get to know the people that work here in a way that you might not over the phone. We’re committed to showing you our office, our activities, and the things that make us work not only as freight brokers but also as Austinites. This is why we can talk about the hope for MLS in Austin, as well as answering, How does Uber work? It might not help you ship an engine, but it brings a peace of mind when you’re doing business with us. Take the time to get to know us, we’re good people! That means the next time you need a freight quote, or a freight rate, or even just have a question about LTL shipping, you can always come back to our blog. We celebrate the importance of visibility in the workplace, and ultimately we’ll make you more comfortable shipping your freight.
