UPDATE: WE WON!!! We got some great news the other day in the FreightPros office: We’ve been nominated as a finalist for the Austin Energy Technology and Innovation Award by the Austin Chamber of Commerce!!! You can read the official Press Release for the nominations here. As finalists from a field of about 300 local companies, we’re excited about the opportunity to be honored by our city. We’re proud of our previous local recognition, such as the Austin Business Journal’s “Fast Fifty” for 2014, and just to be among the finalists for this award is a real delight for all our freight teams; whether it be solutions, marketing, sales, or truckload. At FreightPros, we really make an effort to be part of our great Austin culture and community. Just like we want to offer personalized freight solutions for our customers, we don’t want to be some huge conglomerate with no personality. Austin isn’t like that, so why should we be? That’s why we take the time to participate in holidays in Austin, SXSW, and tons of other Austin culture. And to be a finalist for an award with the term Innovation in it? That is what we’re all about! We want to change the freight game, making it easier for our customers and partners to feel secure about their freight shipping. Our investment in technology extends through our extensive training and Freight Paper documents to TMS, and even GPS truck tracking. We’re always moving forward, always looking to improve. The winners will be announced during a ceremony at the Hilton Austin on August, 27th, and we’ll be there win or lose. You can get more event information here if you’re interested. And be sure to follow along on Twitter and other social media with the hashtag #GABA2015. It’s not every day that you get nominated for an award by your local chamber of commerce. We thought it was pretty cool, and we hope our customers do too.
